ABOUT DIBROVA
Dibrova Ukrainian Association, Inc. is organized as a Michigan non-profit Corporation. Dibrova's charter is to promote child welfare, development and character building through sports, camping, recreational athletics and other wholesome activities. Dibrova works to achieve its mission by managing Dibrova park and collaborating with other organizations that share its mission.

CORPORATE FORM
Dibrova is organized as a Corporation. The activity of the corporation is limited to that specified in its charter and applicable state and federal laws. The assets of the organization must be permanently dedicated to a charitable purpose, and should the organization dissolve, its assets must be distributed to other non-profit organizations.

MEMBERS-SHAREHOLDERS
Dibrova's members are shareholders of the Corporation. Membership is limited to 1,000 shares per the Articles of Incorporation. Membership is also limited to individuals or organizations who support the purposes of the corporation and endeavor to carry them out, are accepted by the Board of Directors by a majority vote, and have purchased at least one share. Membership is not freely transferable and can only be transferred with the approval of the Board of Directors. Shareholders may vote at membership meetings and are allowed one vote regardless of the number of shares owned.
Please note that membership terminates with death and that shares are not freely transferable.

BECOMING A MEMBER
Although all shares are issued and outstanding, we expect that additional membership opportunities will become available in the future from donated shares.
To apply for membership, complete an application form and mail it to Terry Kowalenko, Secretary, at the Brighton address.. We will not be maintaining a wait-list for membership shares. We will review membership opportunities on a semi-annual basis and, if shares are available, we will use a lottery system to select from applications submitted. If you are selected for membership and if your application is approved by the Board, we will notify you in writing at the address you provided on your application form. Membership is limited to individuals or organizations who support the purposes of the corporation and endeavor to carry them out, are accepted by the Board of Directors by a majority vote, and have purchased at least one share.
